Scratch-Made Pizza Dough at Clohan Hall

We are always looking for new ways to improve our dining program here at Elon. One change that we are very excited about this semester is our new, scratch-made pizza dough at Clohan Hall. Our pizza station has always been one of our favorite parts of Clohan Hall, and our freshly-made dough takes it to the next level!

The process begins the night before. Our crew mixes together great ingredients and begins the time-consuming process of mixing and kneading the dough. Once the dough is formed it is divided up and formed by hand into individual portions, and allowed to proof over night.

The next day our dough has finished proofing. We fire up our oven, shape the dough and top it with a variety of different veggies, sauces, meats, and cheeses. We bake our pizzas right before each meal, as well as throughout each service, so that all of the hard work that goes into making our dough results in delicious, fresh, cheesy goodness! Check out the whole process:

We can’t wait for you to stop by and try our new and improved pizzas! It’s just one of the many steps we’re taking to keep our dining program at Elon fresh, responsible, and delicious!
