Our Story

Our Food Philosophy

Responsibly Sourced

We care where our food comes from. That’s why we strive to serve sustainable sourced seafood, cage free eggs, and fresh, pure grass-fed beef patties.

Locally Procured

We are committed to our community. We work with our vendors to use local, organic, and sustainable ingredients as much as possible based on seasonality, quality, and availability. Check out our map of locally sourced products here.

Additive Free

We start with simple, clean ingredients. We strive to use all-natural stock as a base for our soups and sauces. We work to make sure our deli meats and cheeses are all-natural and free of artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives.

Freshly Made

We serve fresh meals, made from scratch. Our recipes are chef-developed and our salad dressings are now made daily, as are our baked goods.

Nutritionally Balanced

We believe that health is universal. Plant-forward choices are available daily, including full vegan and vegetarian menus offered at Green World at 1889 every weekday.

Special Events on Campus

We love offer students unique dining experiences. Not only does it give students more options to mix-up their daily meal routine, it’s also a ton of fun for us to put together! Here are just a few examples of special events that we have organized on campus:

Food Truck Wednesday

Every Wednesday during the 2017-2018 school year we have been holding Food Truck Wednesday in the HBB Lot. Two different local food trucks visit for a few hours around lunch time, and students can use their meal plans to enjoy some delicious food that is not normally offered on campus!

Special Meals

We love organizing occasional special meals for our students. Recently, we held a Steak and Lobster Dinner in our Colonnades Dining Hall. All students that came to Colonnades that evening were treated to a candlelight dinner featuring a delicious steak and lobster entree!

International Week

Each week at Lakeside Dining Hall our team features the cuisine of a different region in the world. A special, five day menu featuring entrees, soups, sides, and desserts is crafted each week. Not only does this give Elon students even more dining options each week, it also creates a unique educational opportunity at Lakeside.

Pop-Ups

We hold occasional impromptu pop-ups around campus as a surprise for students! Students are alerted the day of the pop-up. Recently Mill Point Catering set up this awesome lemonade pop-up featuring tasty cupcakes and French macarons, and we have more planned for the future!

Elon Dining in the Community

We are committed to providing an outstanding experience to the students of Elon University, but helping to better our community is also incredibly important to us. Here are few examples of how Elon Dining is active in the community:
