Acorn’s menu features a lineup of six chef-inspired ‘signature melts’ alongside a robust selection of ready ingredients to further aid the creation of your very own made-to-order melt. Grab a pad and pencil.
McEwen Dining Hall
McEwen Food Hall features a dynamic ‘food hall’ feel with each station having a unique, chef-driven concept centered on delivering a feeling of pure food excitement—with responsibly sourced ingredients. The open-concept kitchen and bakery place few barriers between you, the food, and the chefs.
Al Dente serves authentic, fresh pasta—the kind that’s made in-house daily and cooked right in front of you. The Chef’s Counter has daily chef’s specials, so you’ll never know what’s coming next (unless you look it up, of course). Crumb & Cream’s friendly bakers offer freshly baked pastries and breads—ask nicely and they might even decorate a cupcake especially for you. Arrive early and you’ll find Early Bird Bistro serving elevated breakfast staples while Sunrise Omelet Bar fries and folds custom omelets to-order. One station even rotates its concept week to week.

A home-spun N.C. Zoo exclusive until recently, Billy D’s Fried Chicken is now bringing its “raised right, farm fresh, North Carolina hot ‘n’ crispy fried chicken” and southern sides to Elon! Local owner Chef William Dissen is well-known for his focus on using the freshest responsibly sourced ingredients to reimagine authentic southern cuisines.
Hailing from Winston-Salem, Village Juice & Kitchen is local juice company with a menu that makes eating healthy taste as good as it is for your body.

Qdoba Mexican Grill, a campus favorite located in Daniel Commons, serves made-to-order burritos, bowls, tacos, and more—with fresh guacamole made in-house daily—for lunch and dinner.
Located in Global Commons, Steepd serves freshly brewed, locally sourced tea, decadent house-made pastries, açaí bowls, fresh sandwiches, snacks like hummus and dips, and inspired sweets—perfect pick-me-ups for those who have already spent hours of their day pouring over textbooks.
We’re thrilled to source all of our tea locally from one of our newest partners, Chad’s Chai in Winston-Salem, NC, and to feature incredible macarons made locally by Moonlit Macarons along with an array of tempting pastries by Bondi’s Bakery in Burlington, NC!
Lakeside Dining Hall
Lakeside Dining Hall features cuisines from all over the globe at its unique World and Street Food stations. The Taqueria offers globally-themed tacos on fresh tortillas. Also featured are extensive salad & yogurt bars, made-to-order breakfast scrambles, and freshly made desserts by our talented pastry chefs.
The all-new Allgood station, previously known as True Balance, features specially crafted menus that are made without the top 9 allergens within a separate kitchen space.

Flat-Out, located in Winter Garden Café, serves fresh made-to-order personal flatbreads with house-made dough and a focus on local ingredients .
